Sociedad Anónima Federico Krauch
& CIA. was established on December
27th. of 1891 by Karl Friederich Robert Krauch and Johann
Ludwig Hoeckle, two young Germans who came across the ocean from
the far away Europe, seeking for new challenges and new horizons.
Dedicated
from the beginning to an international import and export trade, the "Casa
Krauch" (House of the Krauch's), as the company was known at
that time, opened its doors at the very centric corner formed by the
streets Estrella y Alberdi of the quiet and still sleepy Asuncion of 1891.
Very
soon the excellent quality of the imported goods, mainly fabrics, wool,
cosmetics and perfumes, gained fame and S.A. F. Krauch & CIA became an
obliged reference for reliability and good taste.
On
the other hand, taking advantage of the extraordinary export possibilities
of the national products like tobacco, cotton and essential oils, the
company started to develop international markets for them. Petitgrain,
an essential oil, very much appreciated by the international perfume
industry, became one of the most exported items.
Today, with the 4th. generation conducting its destiny,
S.A. F. Krauch & CIA. is a solid and modern company. Many of the
original commercial activities were abandoned. Others were improved and/or
enhanced and many new business areas were incorporated, responding to the
demands of a constantly changing market.
If we look behind us, upon the walked road, we feel
proud to be part of the history of three centuries, during which we stayed
loyal to our founders ideals: honesty and commitment with work.
